Citation X Receives FAA Approval!

We are excited to announce that our Citation X aircraft has received full FAA approval for charter flight on our flight certificate and is now ready for booking! The Citation X is one of the fastest civilian jets available for business and charter travel, and ours is the same jet formerly owned by famous aviator Steve Fossett, who flew it to break the speed record for flight from San Diego to Charleston, South Carolina in under three hours, at an average speed of 726.83 mph. The super mid-size aircraft provides ultimate luxury for eight passengers with over-sized, premium leather seats, convertible tables and HDMI inputs. Training Season

The past few months have been “training season” here at RAI. Many people don’t realize the amount of training needed specific to each aircraft, before even the most experienced pilot can enter the cockpit. In the past few months, we have sent our pilots Darwin Dickerson (pictured here by the Citation X simulator) and Brian Riley for training on the Citation X, as well as continuing training for several of our pilots on the Citation III. All FAA – approved flight training was completed at FlightSafety International in Orlando. Most training programs are three weeks long, and include hours of classroom time to learn about aircraft systems and emergency procedures as well as 40 hours in the simulator. Safety is paramount at RAI and our pilots receive the best training available. We hope you have a chance to experience their top notch piloting soon.

The United States Tennis Association (USTA) Boy’s 2017 Tournament was held right here in Kalamazoo, Aug. 3-10. We were proud to be a sponsor and even advertised in the program to wish all the competitors good luck. It was a great event that brought wonderful visibility to our town.
