(KALAMAZOO, MI) (07/01/2019) – RAI Jets LLC is proud to be a Michigan stop for this year’s Ford Tri-Motor Tour, “Fly on the Ford,” sponsored by the Experimental Aircraft Association. The 1920’s era, restored aircraft will be on display at RAI Jets,5825 Willoughby Dr., at the Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport (KAZO), from July 11-14. Rides on the Ford Tri-Motor aircraft are available for advance pricing of $72 adult and $52 for children on Thurs., July 11 from 2-5 p.m. and Fri., July 12 through Sun., July 14 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. A portion of the proceeds collected by the Experimental Aircraft Association at the event will benefit the Plainwell Aviation and STEM Academy in Plainwell, Michigan.
Affectionately known as the Tin Goose, the Ford Tri-Motor redefined civilian passenger travel in the late 1920s and marked the beginning of commercial flight. EAA’s Ford Tri-Motor has been part of the EAA Flight Experiences program for more than 25 years, giving passengers the opportunity to fly on the Ford and experience the excitement and potential of early commercial air travel.

Viewing of the aircraft is open to the public during the hours of the event. Food and displays of historic and current Ford automobiles will also be on display on the grounds.
